"I never expected to be a politician, but if you more accurately term it as public service, it is, perhaps, a logical extension to decades of participation in our community.
And that is exactly how I see my role as a Councillor - that of service to you, the public.
Through my years as a volunteer, I have come to respect this community and its people.
There are 4 areas where I'm most involved:

|
Cindy with daughters Jennifer, Andrea,
Michelle (Marshall), and granddaughter Damara |
|
|
|
Milton District Hospital - The Hospital Board, the
Physician Recruitment Task Force, and the CT Sean Campaign... all of
which are very successful.
MEDAC - I am Chair of MEDAC (Milton Economic Development
Advisory Committee). This committee encourages industry and
businesses to locate to Milton... a key to keeping low residential
property taxes.
MMYAC - I am Council's representative on Milton Mayor's
Advisory Committe working for, and with, youth to promote youth
activities and engaging youth in decisions of Council.
Nassagaweya - my beloved ward... recognizing the
importance of the horse industry, working for improved recreation
facilities in our rural area, preserving a balance between work and
play, and watching out for our interests threatened by neighbouring
interests, including watertaking and quarries.
I would appreciate your support as I seek re-election as your representative - working for you at Milton Council. We have a healthy economic mix of farms, businesses, and commerce. We must be vigilant and work together to preserve our wonderful community." |
